Trust & safety

What we enforce, and what is on you

An honest split. There are things a platform can control and things it cannot, and pretending otherwise is how people get hurt. Here is both halves.

What we enforce

Age verification

Automated age estimation on entry with a document check as fallback. Applied identically to the moderated and unmoderated rooms.

Tiered bans

Escalating sanctions with a published appeal route, because automated moderation makes mistakes and an unappealable wrong ban is just a lost user.

Ban evasion controls

Device signals make it harder to return after a ban. Used for enforcement only — not advertising, not sold.

In-match reporting

A report control on every match. Anything involving a minor is escalated immediately and referred where required.

No recording by us

Streams are peer-to-peer and not recorded on our side. Recording another user without consent is a permanent ban.

2257 records

Records required under 18 U.S.C. 2257 are maintained by the custodian named on our 2257 page.

What is on you

Stay anonymous. Do not give out your full name, employer, city, school, social handles or anything financial — not on the first match and not on the fiftieth. Anyone who pushes you to move to another app, send money, or send content you will not be able to take back is running a scam, and the pressure itself is the tell. Skip early. The next match is one press away, and there is no social cost to leaving a conversation that feels off.

If you are under 18, this service is not for you and age verification is there to enforce that.

For how the matching itself works, see the queue explained. If you create on the platform, the creator programme covers verification and payout requirements.

Questions

Is random video chat safe?

Most of your safety on any random chat platform comes down to your own behaviour, not the platform's features. Stay anonymous, never share your full name, workplace, city, social handles or any financial detail, and skip immediately when a conversation feels wrong. No platform can protect you from information you volunteer.

Are chats recorded or stored?

Video streams are peer-to-peer and are not recorded by us. Recording another user without their consent is a permanent ban and is illegal in many jurisdictions.

How do I report someone?

Every match has a report control. Reports are reviewed, and reports involving a minor or non-consensual content are escalated immediately and, where required, referred to law enforcement.

What gets you banned?

Any content involving a minor, any non-consensual recording or sharing, harassment, threats, and attempting to move a user off-platform for a scam. Bans are tiered, and there is an appeal route for automated decisions.

I was banned and I think it was a mistake. What now?

Automated moderation produces false positives. Email support@rizzroulette.chat and a human will review the decision.
